NEPSE Closes with a Sharp Loss of 38.10 Points; Development Bank Index Leads Decline

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 38.10 points (1.35%) to settle at 2,781.00. This follows a 53.01 -point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2820.01 touching an intraday high of 2,824.85, while the lowest point was 2,778.92. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 8.09 Arba, with 17,891,917 shares traded across 322 companies through 78,379 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.47 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.72 Kharba.


Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 65.44 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,689.00

 


Bikash Hydropower Company Limited (BHCL) led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.

 

Meanwhile,Oriental Hotels Limited (OHL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.71%.

 

Among sectors, the Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, gaining 0.10%, while the Development Bank Index saw the highest loss at 2.38%.
