NEPSE Closes with a Minimal Loss of 2.07 Points; While Overall Volume Stood at 19.36 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 2.07 points (0.06%) to settle at 2,962.13. This follows a 18.44 -point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2967.51, touching an intraday high of 2,976.92, while the lowest point was 2,917.51. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 19.36 Arba, with 44,124,924 shares traded across 321 companies through 170,726 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 49.42 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 16.79 Kharba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 92.57 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 689.90.
Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMATA) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.
Meanwhile, Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company Limited (BHDC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.49%.
Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 3.24%, while the Banking SubIndex saw the highest loss at 0.89%.
