NEPSE Closes with a Loss of 31.17 Points; Overall Volume Stood at 6.06 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 31.17 points (1.12%) to settle at 2,749.83. This follows a 38.10 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2784.11 touching an intraday high of 2,784.56, while the lowest point was 2,745.69. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.06 Arba, with 14,805,569 shares traded across 321 companies through 78,379 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.95 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.53 Kharba.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 45.46 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,655.00

Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) led the gainer's list with a 6.77% gain each.

Meanwhile, Global IME Sammunat Yojana -2 (GBIMESY2) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.

Among sectors, the Development Bank Index registered the highest loss, losing 1.59%, while the mutual fund saw the least loss at 0.35%.
