NEPSE Closes Red on First Trading Day of the Week; Lost 0.89% Today, Turnover Highest In 105 Days

The NEPSE index closed at 1,941.74 today after losing 17.38 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a loss of 0.89%. The index gained 16.49 points last Wednesday.

Today the index opened at 1,960.95 and made the intraday high at 1,977.57. In contrast, it went as low as 1,938.12 and ultimately closed at 1,941.74.

270 scrips traded hands via 47,674 transactions. A total of 7,050,039 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 2.63 Arba in turnover amount. This is higher than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 1.87 Arba. This is the highest turnover in 3 and half months (12th Feb 2023), when the turnover amount stood at Rs 3.04 Arba.  

Shivam Cements Limited (SHIVM) shares traded the most and had the highest turnover of Rs. 21.79 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 468.20 per share.

Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) gained the highest 10% and hit the positive circuit for the day.

Conversely, Himalaya Urja Bikas Company Limited (HURJA) lost the highest 6.40% today.

Only two sector indices closed green, "Manufacturing And Processing" gained the highest 1.01% while "Hotel and Tourism" lost the highest 2.77% today.
