NEPSE Closes Red Again, Index Loses 22.06 Points While Turnover Declines

The NEPSE index closed at 2,813.52 today after losing 22.06 points from yesterday's closing. This is a loss of 0.78% on the index. The index had lost 16.3 points yesterday.

The index opened at 2,837.33 today and did not trade higher. While it went as low as 2,800.08, it ultimately closed at 2,813.52.

223 scrips traded hands via 45,112 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 6,520,628 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 3.471 Arba in the turnover amount. This is lower than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.287 Arba.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Co. Ltd. (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 18.61 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 573 per share. The shares of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) were traded the most.

Liberty Energy Company Limited (LEC) gained the highest 3.08% and closed at Rs. 401.

Meanwhile, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited (BNHC) has lost the highest 6.64%. LEC closed at Rs. 686 today.

All sectors have closed red today. Non-Life Insurance lost the highest 1.5%.
