NEPSE Closes at Highest of All Highs; Development Bank and Finance "Go Boom Boom," As Investors Like To Say It

The NEPSE index gained an impressive 53.44 points and closed at 2,960.14. This is the highest closing in the entire history of NEPSE. The index opened at 2,931.17 and immediately made the intraday low at 2,926.51. The index has closed very close to the intraday high of 2,959.78.
35,700,374 shares traded hands via 149,708 transactions. The trading of 218 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 16.95 Arba.
While the float index gained 3.94 points and closed at 205.22, the Sensitive index is at 528.10 after gaining 7.47 points.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 1.06 Arba.
Over two dozen companies have technically closed at the upper limit of 10% intraday gain today.
On the other side of things, Mero Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) lost the most 2.85%.
Three sectors lost today and all others closed green. Investment lost the most 0.88% and Development Banks gained a massive 9.04%, followed by Finance that gained an equally impressive 8.71%.
