NEPSE Closes at 3,094.05 After Gaining 17.6 Points

The NEPSE index closed at 3,094.05 today after gaining 17.6 points from yesterday's closing.

The index opened at 3,085.04 and made the intraday low at 3,069.88. While it went as high as 3,107.57, it ultimately closed at 3,094.05.

A total of 21,690,585 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 13.421 Arba in the turnover amount. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 12.092 Arba. 232 scrips traded hands via 130,938 transactions.

Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the highest turnover of Rs. 93.84 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 720.50 per share. Its shares also traded the most.

A total of 9 companies have technically gained 10% today, which is the highest permissible intraday gain for a scrip. On the other side of things, 12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 (GWFD83) lost the most 3.95% today.

Eight sectors lost while five others closed green. While Hydropower gained the most 4.83%, Life Insurance lost the most 0.87%.
