NEPSE Closes At 2,872.05 After 1.01 Points Uptick; Turnover Also Sees Slight Rise

The NEPSE index gained 1.01 points today and closed at 2,872.05. The index opened at 2,882.06 and immediately made the intraday low at 2,857.87. While it went as high as 2,883.19, it ultimately closed at 2,872.05.

44,736,530 shares traded hands via 50,591 transactions. The trading of 214 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 5.654 Arba. This is higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 5.546 Arba.

The float index is at 199.40 after gaining 0.05 points and the Sensitive index is at 539.38 after losing 0.14 points.

Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 29.47 crores.

Himalayan Power Partner Limited (HPPL) gained the most 8.1% and Nabil Balanced Fund - 2 (NBF2) lost the most 2.83%.

Five sectors gained and all others closed red. While Hydropower gained the most 2.71%, Non-Life Insurance lost the most 0.58%.
