NEPSE closes at 1,217.93 points losing 2.59 points: Turnover falls to Rs 34.32 crore

NEPSE has lost 2.59 points to close at 1,217.93 points. The market which had started at 1,220.52 points lost 0.26% during the day. The total turnover for the day was worth Rs 34.32 crore which was the result of trade of 10,18,079 unit shares. During the day, shares of 160 listed companies were exchanged through 6,174 transactions.

Nadep Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NADEP) was ahead in terms of turnover as shares worth Rs 3.85 crore were traded during the day. Similarly, Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL) was ahead in terms of shares traded as 63,927 unit shares were exchanged.

The shareholders of Nepal Seva Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NSEWA) earned the most during the trading period as the price increased by 34 points. However, Nepal Insurance Company Limited (NICL) was the top loser for the day as the price decreased by 23 points.

Both the sensitive and float index decreased by 0.42 and 0.36 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, only Others ended in the positive zone by gaining 11.69 points. Non-Life Insurance sector lost 49.35 points which was followed by Hotels losing 21.43 points.
