NEPSE closes at 1,199.42 points gaining 4.62 points; mediocre transaction of Rs 17.30 crore during the day

NEPSE registered a rise of 4.62 points to end at 1,199.42 points today. The market had started at 1,194.8 points however the market gained 0.39% during the 4 hours’ trading period. The market had crossed 1,200 points when it was at the highest point.

More than 5.83 lakh unit shares worth Rs 17.30 crore were traded during the day. The shares of 157 listed companies were traded through 2,843 transactions.

Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) stood ahead in terms of turnover as more than Rs 92.63 lakh worth of shares was traded during the day. Similarly, Mega Bank Limited (MEGA) stood ahead in terms of stock traded by share quantity as 52,381 unit shares of MEGA were traded.

Nepal Community Development Bank (NCDB) was the top gainer of the day as the price of the share increased by 6 points and closed at Rs 119. Likewise, Rairang Hydropower Development Company Limited (RRHP) was the top loser for the day as the price of the stock decreased by 25 points and the LTP stood as Rs 231.

Both the sensitive and float index increased by1.11 and 0.35 points respectively.

Out of the sub-indices, Hydropower, Insurance and Manufacturing & Production fell in the red zone. Manufacturing & production lost 19.88 points and Hotels gained 20.67 points.
