NEPSE Closed With 0.26% Gain: Total Turnover Stood Rs 1.73 Arba

In today's trading session, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,976.29 points, as the index experienced gain of 5.19 points or 0.26% compared to the previous day's closing. The index lost 33.20 points yesterday.

The trading started with the index opening at 1,970.28 hitting an intraday low of 1,954.35, whereas intraday high was 1,982.51.

During today's trading, there were 286 different stocks traded in 85,591 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 5,776,896 with a total turnover of Rs. 1.73 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 30.13 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.61 Kharba.

NIC Asia Bank Ltd. (NICA) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 21.68 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 761.50.

Similarly,CYC Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CYCL) and Sayapatri Hydropower Limited (SPHL) showed the highest gain of 10%, followed by Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ILBS) with a gain of 9.66%.

On the flip side, Peoples Hydropower Company Limited (PHCL) experienced the loss of 5.29% today.

In terms of sector indices, indices except Hotel and Tourism and Manufacturing & Processing Index all other indices closed in the green, with Development Bank Index gaining the most at 1.33%.
