NEPSE closed at nearly six months low

The benchmark index closed at 866.16 level which is almost six months low. The last time low was recorded of 856.52 points on 27th of May this year.
The stock index tumbled 14.88 points compared to last week closing of 881.04 level.
NEPSE index today opened at 881.32 points and leaned downward to 866.16 level.
Along with NEPSE, all the sub-indices landed on red.
Banking, which covers more than 50 percent of market capitalization, plunged by 17.48 points, to close at 749.15 level. The double digit decline in banking sector played the main role of massive decline in the benchmark index.
Insurance dwindled triple digits of 107.79 points. HydroPower and Hotels descend by double digits of 18.13 and 24.87 points respectively.
Development, Finance and Others plummeted 2.3, 1.9 and 1.17 points respectively.
The market turnover today was Rs 220 million, which is more than Rs 20 million lower, compared to previous day’s Rs 243 million
