Nepse closed at Green again

After a slight decline in the opening period of the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse), rest of the session was traded in the green pasture. The benchmark index even crossed the resistance level of 413 points in the second half of the trading session but couldn’t sustain the selling pressure of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC); which drag the index at 408.35(+3.62) at the end. With the Nepse eyeing to cross the 413 mark with high turnover lately, makes the overall market sentiments to the uptrend in coming days.

In today’s session,Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL), closed at Rs 435, was the Top Gainer with Rs 34 or 8.48%. Similarly, Butwal Power Co. Ltd. (BPCL), settled at Rs 541, was the Top Loser with Rs 36 or 6.24%.

Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBNL), closed at Rs 135, topped the categories of highest share traded and transaction with 51,945 units and 274 transactions. All in all, with 10,834 shares worth Rs 10,658,762 via 106 transactions, today also Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 982, had the highest turnover and transaction; in which Broker No 25 (Sweta Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 22.28% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 2,374,800 of 2,416 units via 8 transactions which includes matching of 200 units worth Rs 196,000 via 1 transaction.

Apart from Hydro sector loss of 5.15 or 0.72% to settle at 704.84 points, all other sectors gained than previous closing day. Banking sector rose by 1.61% to settle at 381.38 level which was the top gainer among sub-indices. Similarly, Development, Others, Insurance and Finance also increased by of 0.63%, 0.19%, 0.12%, and 0.02% points respectively. On the contrary, Hotels sector remain intact at 489.42 level. Sensitive index added 1.13 or 1.08% points to rest at 105.6 level while Float index also rocketed up by 0.288 or 0.92% point to halt at 31.78 level.

Total scrips traded for the day was 71 with 45 gainers and 19 losers with total turnover of Rs 91,385,489 which is comparatively Rs 969,785 or 1.05% lower than prior trading session. Overall 305,446 units of shares were traded via 1652 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 370,410.66 Millions.
