Nepse closed at 377.38 points

Today Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) rose by 0.05% to close at the highest level for the week. The market saw an increment in transaction volume and number as compare to previous days. With improvement in most of the sub-indices, the benchmark index today added 0.2 points to close at 377.38 level.
In today’s trading session, Union Finance Ltd., closed at Rs 100, was the Top Gainer with Rs 6 or 6.38%. Whereas Nepal Express Finance Limited Promoter Share, settled at Rs 100 with highest share tradable company with 45,000 units for the day, was the Top Loser with Rs 7 or 6.54%.Likewise, Rara Bikash Bank had the highest transaction of 106 times. Similarly, Chilime Hydro Power Co. Ltd. (CHCL), closed at Rs 845, toppled Everest Bank Limited (EBL) to gain top position in terms of highest turnover with 12,308 shares worth Rs 10,428,082 via 86 transactions; in which Broker No 32 (Premier Securites Company Limited) was the most active broker with 37.73% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 3,935,022 of 4,654 units via 24 transactions which includes matching of 40 units worth Rs. 33,960
Sectoral wise, Hotel sector suffered the highest loss of 5.8 or 1.17 points followed by Banking with 0.05 or 0.01% point. On the other hand, Hydro gained the highest with 6.21 or 0.99% points followed by Insurance, Finance and Development with 0.40%, 0.29% and 0.23% points respectively whereas Others sector remained still at 558.09 points. Likewise, Sensitive index declined by 0.02 or 0.02% to settle at 97 points while Float index added 0.098 or 0.33% point to close at 29.94 points.
Total scrips traded for the day were 75 with 36 gainers and 31 losers with total turnover of Rs 51,102,260 which is comparatively Rs 3,342,051 or 6.99% higher than prior trading session. Overall 205,791 units of shares were traded via 1,220 transactions with total market capitalization of Rs. 356,591.53 millions.
