Nepse close at increasing note

After continues gain for five trading days, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) close at the red zone today. The benchmark index after opening tried to cross the 410 level but couldn’t succeed as it surge down to take support at 400 level from where it bounced back to settle at 406.28 level. Despite the loss of 2.07 points as compare to prior day in Nepse level, its movement indicates that it is moving in the up direction to breach 413 level .
From today onwards stock transactions of Api Finance Limited (AFL), Rara Bikash Bank Limited (RARA) and Royal Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (RMBFI) have been suspended as three companies are going for merger process. In yesterday’s trade AFL, RARA and RMBFI closed at Rs 107, Rs 82 and Rs 110 respectively.
In today’s session,Karnali Development Bank Limited (KRBL), closed at Rs 70, was the Top Gainer with Rs 6 or 9.38%. Whereas among the scrips trading above par value, Malika Bikash Bank Limited, closed at Rs 133, was the Top Gainer with Rs 11 or 9.02%.Similarly, First Microfinance Development Bank Limited (FMDBL), settled at Rs 150, was the Top Loser with Rs 9 or 5.66%.
Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBNL), closed at Rs 135, topped the categories of highest transaction with 279 times. Likewise, KIST Bank Limited (KIST), closed at Rs 117, had the highest share traded with 81,080 units. All in all, with 13,712 shares worth Rs 13,311,068 via 80 transactions, today also Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 956, had the highest turnover; in which Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 46.97% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 6,252,810 of 6,460 units via 17 transactions which includes matching of 3,700 units worth Rs 3,599,700 via 6 transaction.
Sectoral wise, Hotels and Others sectors were only the two positive movers with 1.1% and 0.75 % whereas all other remaining sub-indices suffered loss. Hydro sector was the top loser with 1.82% followed by Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Development and Finance with 0.96%, 0.82%, 0.64%, 0.35% and 0.09% points respectively. Sensitive index plummeted by 0.54 or 0.51% points to rest at 105.06 level while Float index also declined by 0.215 or 0.68% point to halt at 31.57 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 77 with 23 gainers and 47 losers with total turnover of Rs 76,614,979 which is comparatively Rs 14,770,510 or 16.16% lower than prior trading session. Overall 271,749 units of shares were traded via 1506 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 383,899.29 Millions.
