Nepse break 400 level

The news of implementation of margin lending against share purchase receipt couldn’t uplift the market as Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) decline below 400 level to settle at 396.02 level. The benchmark index for the entire day traded in the red zone as all the sub-indices was favoring towards bearish side. It seems that investors are still persistent in booking their profit. Overall, Nepse decreased by 5.52 points than the previous week’s closing.
The Top Loser for the day was Agriculture Development Bank Limited (ADBL), settled at Rs 166, with Rs 11 or 6.21%.Similarly, Professional Bikash Bank Limited (PRBL), settled at Rs 73, was the Top Gainer with Rs 4 or 5.80% whereas among the shares trading above par value, City Development Bank Limited (CDBL), settled at Rs 152, was the Top Loser with Rs 7 or 4.83%.
Today Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBNL), closed at Rs 133, topped the categories of highest transaction with 131 times along with highest traded share of 17,089 units. All in all, with 9,978 shares worth Rs 9,705,450 via 98 transactions, Chilime Hydro Power Company Ltd. (CHCL), closed at Rs 970, had the highest turnover; in which Broker No 45 (Imperial Securities Co .Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 28.90% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 2,804,952 of 2,886 units via 16 transactions which includes matching of 128 units worth Rs 124,544 via 2 transaction.
Sectoral wise, Hydro sector suffered the highest loss of 2.04% as CHCL lost Rs 32.Similarly other sectors that lost were Others, Banking, Development, Insurance and Finance with 1.54%, 1.52%, 0.67%, 0.38% and 0.22% points respectively. Sensitive index plummeted by 1.54 or 1.48% points to rest at 102.22 level while Float index also declined by 0.277 or 0.89% point to close at 30.95 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 75 with 10 gainers and 56 losers with total turnover of Rs 44,664,741 which is comparatively Rs 10,491,074 or 19.02% lower than prior trading session. Overall 131,845 units of shares were traded via 1388 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 374,208.50Millions.
