NEPSE BOUNCES BACK BY 5.71 POINTS

Key stock market index of Nepal, Nepse, posted 5.71 points gain to settle at 1044.75 level as buyers went for prior day’s fallers.
“Most of the insurance, hydro and banking and financial institutions’ shares had witnessed correction for past few days after series of profit-taking from traders, which motivated many investors to accumulate at corrected price,” says one of the brokers.
Yesterday’s fallers like Nabil Bank Ltd. (NABIL), Everest Bank Ltd (EBL), Standard Chartered Bank Ltd. (SCB) along with others witnessed improved demand leading to 6.71 points growth in Banking sector.
Similarly, microfinance companies also witnessed surge today after series of correction in last few days. Chhimek Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (CBBL), Rural Microfinance Development Centre Ltd. (RMDC), Nirdhan Utthan Bank Ltd. (NUBL), Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL) led the race, attributing to 6.77 points gain in Development sector.
Likewise, Insurance and Hydro sectors’ shares also observed better demand today leading to 14.25 points and 13.23 points surge respectively.
Hotels, Manufacturing and Others also added 4.17 points, 0.7 point and 2.35 points today. While, Finance was the only sub-group to settle in red terrain, the sector suffered loss of 1.81 points.
All in all, the scrips of 151 companies were traded, out of which 75 scrips gained, 14 remained intact and 62 scrips lost.
The best performer for the day was, Reliable Development Bank Limited (REDBL), closed at Rs 258, with Rs 23 or 9.79 percent gain. Whereas, Corporate Development Bank Ltd. (CORBL), closed at Rs 152, was the worst performer today with Rs 16 or 9.52 percent loss.
Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 2615, had the highest turnover among the traded shares today. Altogether, 12,932 units share of CHCL were traded through 101 transactions worth Rs 33,845,581.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the CHCL was Broker No 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 17.72 percent totaling 4,588 share units amounting Rs 11,997,943 via 28 buying transactions.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 531,585,822, with total number of shares traded at 1,266,579 units which were traded through 3,549 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 1,066,702.70 Millions.
