NEPSE BOUNCES BACK BY 4.35 POINTS

The Nepse index today bounced back by 4.35 points to settle at 1026.21 level.
Despite the prevailing clearing and settlement issue in market, the investors and traders today went buying spree on banking, insurance and hydro scrips.
However, the in the initial hour of today’s session, the scenario was bit damp as the market index continued its freefall to 1010 level. It was only from the second hour of the trade the local bourse made come back.
Following high level of decline in share price of above mentioned sectors’ listed companies, most buyers took the opportunity to grab the scrips at corrected price.
Insurance scrips witnessed the hefty buying as the sector inclined by 35.46 points. Similarly, Hydro and Banking followed with 4.31 points and 5.66 points gain respectively.
Likewise, Manufacturing sector also increased by 30.51 points.
While, Hotels, Development and Finance dropped by 1.89 points, 1.81 points and 5.55 points respectively. As for Others sector, it remained intact at 751.89 level.
All in all, the scrips of 134 companies were traded, out of which 65 scrips gained, 15 remained intact and 54 scrips lost.
Purnima Bikas Bank Limited (PURBL), closed at Rs 420, was the best performer today with gain of Rs 30 or 7.69 percent. Whereas, Paschimanchal Bikash Bank (PDBL), closed at Rs 270, was the worst performer today with Rs 17 or 5.92 percent loss.
Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 2560, had the highest turnover among the traded shares. Altogether, 18,722 units share of CHCL were traded through 120 transactions worth Rs 47,193,162.
The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the CHCL was Broker No 33 (Dachinkali Investment Securities Pvt.Ltd) with 16.83 percent totaling 6,288 share units amounting Rs 15,887,213 via 26 transactions, which include three matching transactions tallying 760 units worth Rs 1,943,510.
The market turnover today stood at Rs 449,075,180, with total number of shares traded at 810,796 units which were traded through 3,198 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 1,047,776.91 Millions.
