NEPSE Bounces Back After Six Consecutive Sessions of Losses; Hydropower Sector Saw the Highest Gain

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a single-digit gain today, gaining by 9.24 points (0.36%) to close at 2,522.66. This follows a 43.89-point loss in the previous trading session.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,518.13 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,537.76 and a low of 2,501.49 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 2.90 Arba, with 7,613,681 shares traded across 341 companies through 48,341 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.39 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.62 Kharba.

 

Solu Hydropower Limited (SOHL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 13.82 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 659.00.

 

Mathillo Mailun Khola Jalvidhyut Limited (MMKJL) hit the upper circuit with a 7.15% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 346.00.

 

Meanwhile, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 8.48%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 2,494.00.

 

Among sectors, Hydropower Index recorded the highest gain, gaining by 1.01%, while the Manufacturing And Processing recorded the highest loss, down 1.00%.
