NEPSE BOUNCE BACK FROM 8 POINTS LOSS TO SETTLE ON GREEN

Following twenty points loss in last two days, the benchmark index of Nepal pulled its way back today to gain 7.78 points, to settle at 892.52 points.

The market index, which  in the initial hour had witnessed a eight points plunge, climbed its way back to top following the news of Nepal Rastra Bank in process of issuing directive regarding loan on demat shares.

In the current scenario, the investors holding the physical shares areonly in position to get share loans , however, with this directive the investors having demat shares will also be eligible to get the loans, which is expected to fuel the market in upcoming days.


Among the sub-indices, Insurance, Hydro, Manufacturing and Others made double digit surge of 39.35 points, 20.5 points, 10.38 points and 11.74 points respectively.

As for the remaining sub-groups, Banking gained 6.64 points, Development added 4.34 points, and Finance climbed 1.41 points.

While, Hotels was the only sector in red side with lose of 13.07 points.

The market turnover today stood at Rs 218 million, compared to yesterday’s Rs 214 million.
