NEPSE BOUNCE BACK BY 9.92 POINTS

Following back to back double digit plunge, the only secondary market of Nepal bounced back by 9.57 points today. Coming to the end of the day, the local bourse came to settle at 764.91 level.

As the profit booking sentiment had topple the Nepse by more than 76 points in the last three weeks, the investors today took the opportunity to grab the scrips at the current low price.

With the increase in buyer today, the market came to climbed up to 770 level. However, the profit booking in latter session dragged the benchmark index down to today’s closing level.

Contrary to prior trading days’ movement, all the sub-indices landed in the green terrain today. The Hotels sector was the biggest gainer of the day, as it surged 16.12 points. Close on the heels were the sub-indices of Insurance, Banking and Hydro sub-indices which inclined by 12.81 points, 12.54 points and 11.13 points, respectively.

Similarly, Development and Finance also increased by 1.40 points and 4.25 points respectively. As for Others, it propelled by 9.39 points.

Altogether there were trade of 117 scrips, among which 71 scrips gained, 13 scrips remained intact and 32 scrips suffered loss.

The best performer among the traded scrips was Jebils Finance Ltd. (JEFL), closed  Rs 128, with a gain of Rs 11 or 9.40 percent. Whereas, First Microfinance Development Bank Ltd. (FMDBL), closed at Rs 595, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 66 or 9.98 percent.

The company with the highest turnover in today’s session was Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL), closed at Rs 1612, with turnover of Rs 42,631,676, totaling 26,440 units which were traded through 148 transactions.

 The Broker with the highest transaction of CHCL was Broker No 3 (Arun Securities Pvt. Limited) with 35.17 percent standalone dealing, totaling 18,650 units worth Rs 29,995,030 via 71 selling transactions.

The market turnover today stood at Rs 254,647,606, with total number of shares traded at 427,129 units which were traded through 2,249 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 778,862.44 Millions.
