NEPSE at its Highest; 25 Companies Hit Positive Circuit; Non-Life Insurance Index Closes above 10,000 for the first time

The NEPSE index closed at 2,071.02 today, which is the highest close in the history of NEPSE. The highest close record was previously broken just yesterday. In fact, NEPSE had closed above 2,000 for the first time yesterday. The index created a new high today, gaining a massive 70.62 points from yesterday's close.
The index opened at 2,016.82 today and made an intraday high of 2077.70. The index did not go lower than the market-open, so the opening index itself is the intraday low.
15,564,427 shares traded hands via 61,636 transactions. Trading of 201 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.46 Arba.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of Rs. 40.07 crores. The shares of the Sanima Equity Fund (SAEF) traded the most today.

Interestingly, 25 companies technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Unilever Nepal Limited (UNL) lost the most 5.19%.
Only Trading lost a minimal 0.71% today. The sector "Others" gained an impressive 8.4%. Furthermore, the Non-Life Insurance index closed above 10,000 for the first time today. The index is also at its all-time high.
