Making its way pass the 555.93 levels set on 17th February, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) today goes to settle at forty five months high.

Though today’s market transition was not as smooth as of yesterday, the market index at the end of the day came to furnish a remarkable surge to advance by 1.12 points than that of yesterday’s closing.

The local bourse today closed at 556.78 levels. Last time, the market closed above this level was in the month of November, 2009. At that point of time, the market was galloping its way downward from the height of 1175.38 levels- NEPSE highest level till date.

In addition to NEPSE astounding climb, the market today saw stock trading of two of the much awaited companies, the Rural Micro Finance Corporation and Sana Kisan Bikas Bank Limited with symbol ‘RMDC’ and ‘SKBBL’ respectively.

Both the company’s share sold like hot cakes today.  From the get go of the company’s opening transactions from the level of Rs 510 for RMDC and Rs 550 for SKBBL, the investors  were scrambling for the scrips.

RMDC with the transactions of 15,089 units worth Rs 8,459,814 via 102 transactions, came to close at Rs 561 and SKBBL with the volume of 2,783 units worth Rs 1,681,457 via 23 transactions, came to settle at 605.Both the scrips were the highest gainers in today’s market session.

Despite such circuit breaking increment of price in both scrips, the sellers were found reluctant to liquidate their position in anticipation of better return in future days.  While, there were presences of large numbers of buyers at the end of today's session looking to grab the scrips even at higher levels.
