Nepse at 37 days high
After opening below the yesterday’s closing, Nepal Stock Exchange surge to gain 0.91 points for the day. The benchmark index has been adding points for past three consecutive days. With today’s climb the market index has reached the 37 days highest level, breaking the level of 406.28 last set on 24th July, 2012.
Today among the traded shares, Neco Insurance Co. (NIL), closed at Rs 110, was the Top Gainer with Rs 10 or 10%. Whereas, Hama Merchant & Finance Ltd. (HAMA) which had the highest share traded and transaction for the day with 13,660 units and 259 transaction, was the Top Loser with Rs 6 or 5.50%. The scrip closed at Rs 103.
Whereas, Everest Bank Limited (EBL), closed at Rs 1,097, had the highest turnover today as the viral information of 50% bonus dividend in the market push the EBL trade today. Overall, 8,128 units worth Rs 8,805,664 via 72 transactions were done of EBL; in which Broker no 14 (Nepal Stock House Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 43.05% stand alone dealing of EBL , totaling 6,634 units worth Rs 3,790,489 via 65 transactions in which 2 were matching transaction of 224 units worth Rs 69,960.
Sectoral wise, Other sector was only the decliners with 1.01% as the scrip of NTC dropped by Rs 6.Whereas, Insurance, Banking, Hotels, Development, Hydro and Finance added 1.87%, 0.68%, 0.48%, 0.45% 0.14% and 0.12% points respectively. In the recent days, Insurance sector has been boosting as the news of opening of re-insurance company within country has been making positive impact upon this sector. Sensitive index rose by 0.21 or 0.21% points to rest at 104.81 level while Float index rose by 0.145 or 0.48% to close at 30.64 level.
Total scrips traded for the day was 90 with 56 gainers and 19 losers with total turnover of Rs 46,615,942 which is comparatively Rs 17,811,008 or 27.64% lower than prior trading session. Overall 153,469 units of shares were traded via 1,629 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 385,210.97 Millions.
