Nepse all Green

The secondary market of Nepal today also had a spectacular run as the index rallied up by 5.19 points. After a failed attempt of yesterday to sustain above 460 level, the local bourse with the support from all the sectoral indices was able to close at 463.36 level today. Along with Nepse all the sub-indices today traded in the green pasture for the entire trading hours. With the Nepse gaining new heights, the performance of the overall sub-indices are also improving day by day.
The Hydro sector with the gain of 17.05 points was able to breach the 1000 points today. The continuous incline in the scrip of Chilime Hydro Power Co. has fueled in the sector’s growth. Today also CHCL added Rs 27 to its tally to close at Rs 1105. Similarly, Banking sector today also had a good run as it added 6.71 points. Even though the news of Nepal Bangladesh Bank (NBB) promoter Bishnu Raj Adhikari violating norms set by the banking sector pulled down the NBB scrip, the confidence of the investor in Banking sector was still intact. The increase in sentiment of investors towards Banking sector helped boost the price of the scrip like SCB, NABIL, EBL and BOK.
As for Development and Finance sector, both climbed by 1.66 and 1.31 points respectively. Likewise Insurance sector added 3.53 points as the increase in the scrip of Sagarmatha Insurance Co. Ltd (SIL), National LifeInsu. Co. Ltd. (NLICL) and Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NLIC) mainly contributed in its rise. Whereas the Other sector which remain intact yesterday, today climb by 3.52 points.
Overall there were 96 scrips traded among which 54 scrips increased, 17 remain intact and 25 scrips decreased. The highest gainer for the day was Biratlaxmi Bikash Bank Ltd. (BLDBL), closed at Rs 143, with Rs 13 or 10.00%. Whereas, Prabhu Finance Company Ltd., closed at Rs 145, was the Top Loser with Rs 19 or 11.59% .In case of highest share traded, Janata Bank Nepal Ltd. (JBNL), closed at Rs 143, topped with 49,514 units.
In terms of turnover, Bank of Kathmandu (BOK), closed at Rs 598, topped with 13,464 units worth Rs 8,064,962 via 46 transactions; in which Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 46.84% stand alone dealing of BOK, tallying 6,316 units worth Rs 3,778,000 via 22 transactions which includes 2 matching transaction of 1,50 units worth Rs 89,900.
The total turnover today was 88,300,746 which is comparatively Rs 3,330,209 or 3.92% higher than prior trading session. Overall 322,571 units of shares were traded via 1,552 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 438,713.93 Millions.
