Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) added 5.18 or 1.36% to close at 385.3 points as all indicators traded in the green zone for the entire session. With the margin lending implementation talks between BFI’s and Brokering Company taking a final shape, Nepse index has boosted up. Likewise, quarter ending pressure to liquidate shares to pay debt obligation has also eased off.

In today’s session also Life Insurance Co. Nepal (LICN), closed at Rs 918, was the Top Gainer with Rs 80 or 9.55 % as the news declaration of 65% Bonus share followed by 25% Right share has created a positive impact in its price level. Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance Co Ltd (NLIC), settled at Rs 767, was the Top Loser with Rs 43 or 5.31% as its no dividend declaration announcement in its 2067/68 fiscal year AGM has produced a downhill in its price level. Likewise, Country Development Bank Ltd., closed at Rs 71, topped the category of highest transaction by means of 132 transactions. All in all, Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) had the highest share traded as well as turnover of 15,294 shares worth Rs 13,388,622 via 96 transactions; in which Broker No 16 (Primo Securities Pvt. Limited) was the most active broker with 50.62% stand alone dealing of CHCL, amounting Rs 6,777,520 of 7,768 units via 28 transaction in includes matching of 2,940 units worth Rs 2,545,800 via 8 transactions.


Sectoral wise, all sub- indices traded on the green territory among which Hydro sector climbed the highest with 11.63 or 1.79% points followed by Others, Banking, Insurance, Hotels, Development and Finance with 1.63%, 1.62%, 1.17%, 1.11%, 0.41% and 0.1% points respectively. Sensitive index rose by 1.41 or 1.45% points to settle at 99.16 points while Float index added 0.371 or 1.24% point to close at 30.3 points.


Total scrips traded for the day was 81 with 47 gainers and 24 losers with total turnover of Rs 52,347,885 which is comparatively Rs 3,307,724 or 6.74% higher than prior trading session. Overall 126,441 units of shares were traded via 1,166 transactions with total market capitalization of Rs. 364,070.68 millions.
