NEPSE ADDS FURTHER 1.06 POINTS

Expanding its height further, the stock index of Nepal today added 1.06 points. With today’s gain, the local bourse came to close at 772.76 levels today.
Contrary to yesterday’s movement, the stock market today witnessed a zigzag pattern in its transition. Beginning its trade from the red terrain, the benchmark index escalated addition loss of 3 point till the half period of today’s session.
Later in the hour, however, the market observed bounce back from red to green terrain.
Mostly, the increase in the price of banking scrips in ending hours helped propel the NEPSE index to north side. In spite of the incline in the price of banking scrips, the Banking sub-indices was not able to avoid loss as it made correction of 0.19 points.
Alongside Banking, Finance and Hotels also suffered a loss of 0.11 and 2.14 points respectively, while rest of the sub-indices settled in the green terrain.
Among gaining sub-indices, Insurance was the highest gainer with surge of 18.99 points. Similarly, Hydro also added 3.36 points to its tally, followed by Development and Others with increment of 2.94 and 1.18 points respectively.
Altogether there were trade of 106 scrips, among which 48 scrips gained, 11 scrips remained intact and 47 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL), closed at Rs 947, with a gain of Rs 86 or 9.99 percent. Whereas, Sagarmatha Merchant Banking And Finance Limited (SMBF), closed at Rs 140, was the worst performer with loss of Rs 13 or 8.50 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was National LifeInsu. Co.Ltd. (NLICL), closed at Rs 1791, with trading of 16,035 units worth Rs 27,869,856 via only 41 transactions.
The Broker with the highest transaction of NLICL was Broker no 56 (Sri Hari Securities Pvt. Ltd.) with 26.45% standalone dealing of the NLICL, tallying 8,500 units worth Rs 14,744,000 via 17 buying transactions.
The total market turnover today tallied at Rs 322,708,063, totaling 715,349 units of share which were traded through 2,491 transactions. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 785,061.65 Millions.
