NEPSE ADDS 1.69 POINTS TO ITS TALLY

Today the market index after the start below the yesterday’s level gradually gained its movement to add 1.69 points by the end of the day. Before coming to today’s closing the Nepse went to several ups and downs, the market after reaching the 534 levels made numerous attempts to breach this level but failed to do so. At the end of the session also after coming down, the local bourse bounced back from 532.74 to 533.69 levels.
Among the sub-indices, Insurance sector had the highest point gain as it added 12.42 points. The climb in the price of Life Insurance Co. Nepal (LICN), National Life Insu. Co. Ltd. (NLICL) by Rs 71 and Rs 38 mainly contributed to its growth. Likewise, Banking followed by a second highest gain with 3.46 points. Under Banking, today also Nepal Bank Limited added a hefty amount as it climbs by Rs 94 or 9.99%. With the right share issuance of this company coming in the near future, the demand of this scrip has increased from the day of its listing; apart from it, the presence of a limited amount of the company’s scrip in the market has played as a catalyst role to further boost the stock’s price.
Similarly, Finance also inclined by 0.1 points as the increment in Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) by Rs 32 along with gain in Janaki Finance Ltd. (JFL) and Himalayan Finance Limited (Bittiya Sanstha) (HFL) helped the sector to sustain in green pasture. As for Hydro and Hotels, both jumped by 1.41 and 1.50 points respectively. The rose in the price of Oriental Hotel Ltd. (OHL) by Rs 4 mainly boosted the Hotels sector whereas ascend in the price of Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) and Chilime Hydro power Co. (CHCL) by Rs 2 and Rs 4 assist in the Hydro’s growth.
While, drop in the level of Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited (NTC) by Rs 4 pulled the Other sector down by 5.87 points. Whereas, the fall in the Diprox Development Bank (DDBL),Swabalamwan Bikash Bank (SWBBL), Ace Development Bank Limited (ACEDBL) by two digits mainly dragged the Development sector down today.
Overall there were 80 scrips traded among which 25 scrips increased, 11 remain intact and 44 scrips decreased. The highest loser for the day was Ace Development Bank Limited (ACEDBL), closed at Rs 105, with Rs 10 or 8.70%. Apart from it, the scrip also had the highest share traded and turnover with
161,190 units worth Rs 16,977,261 via 6 transactions; all of the transactions of the scrip were carried out by Broker no 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited).
The turnover for the day stood at Rs 123,213,065 which is comparatively Rs 14,475,805 or 13.31% higher than the prior trading day. Overall, 482,873 units of share were traded via 1,320 transactions with the market capitalization of Rs 514,058.50 Millions at the end of the day.
