NEPSE Able To Close Above 2200 Levels To Make Highest in Seven Months; Hydropower Companies Gain Heavily

The NEPSE index closed at 2,211.38 today after gaining 46.76 points from the last trading day's closing. This is a gain of 2.16%. The index gained 20.55 points yesterday. The index concluded at its highest point in seven months. Last time on May 27, 2022, the NEPSE was at 2,223.78 levels.

Today the index opened at 2,171.46 and made an intraday low of 2,161.03. It then ultimately closed at an intraday high of 2,211.38.

257 scrips traded hands via 74,543 transactions. A total of 14,676,206 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 5.314 Arba in turnover amount. This is a bit lower than the last trading day's turnover of Rs. 5.459 Arba.

Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) had the highest turnover of Rs. 20.68 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 600 per share. The shares of NGPL traded the most.

Almost eleven sectors gained all they could and hit a positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) lost the highest 3.57% today.

Only one sector closed red, "Hotel and Tourism" lost 0.70% while "Hydropower" gained the highest 4.94% today.
