NEPSE 2.57 Points Away from Creating a New All-Time High; Index Achieves the Highest Intraday-High Nonetheless

Even though the intraday movement today was a downwards slope, the NEPSE index gained 7.04 points from yesterday's close and closed at 2,068.45. This is the second-highest index-close in the history of NEPSE. With this, the index is only a minimal 2.57 points away from creating a new high.

It is worth mentioning that the index has nonetheless fared at the highest level in intraday action in all of its history. The index today made an intraday high of 2,127.22. This is a benchmark point at which the index had never reached before.

11,558,991 shares traded hands via 51,302 transactions. Trading of 203 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 6.86 Arba. This is slightly higher than yesterday's turnover of Rs. 6.74 Arba. While the float index gained 0.99 points and closed at 141.69, the Sensitive index is at 390.51 after losing 1.24 points.

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 1.43 Arba. The shares of Mega Bank Limited (MEGA) traded the most.

Nabil Bank Limited (NABIL) and Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Narayani Development Bank Limited (NABBC) lost the most 9.86%.

Three sectors gained today while all others closed red. Life Insurance gained the most 2.87% while the sector "Others" lost 2.21%.
