Nepal's Stock Exchange Index at All-Time High; Market Participation Highest of the Last One Month

The NEPSE index gained 25.71 points today and closed at 2,657.61. This is the highest closing ever in the history of NEPSE.

The index opened at 2,658.30 and shortly made the intraday low at 2,646.59. The index went as high as 2,658.55 but finally closed at 2,657.61.

18,173,378 shares traded hands via 89,860 transactions. The trading of 212 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 9 Arba. This is higher than last week's turnover of Rs. 7.25 Arba. The total volume today is the highest of the intraday volume of the last month.

While the float index gained 1.78 points and closed at 182.93, the Sensitive index is at 470.75 after gaining 4.33 points.

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 46.81 crores. The units of Siddhartha Equity Fund (SEF) traded the most.

The seven highest gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today. Meanwhile, Salt Trading Corporation Limited (STC) lost the most 4.63%.

Five sectors have lost today while eight others closed green. "Trading" lost the most 4.39% and "Non-Life Insurance" gained the most 3.97%.
