The Embassy of Nepal, Doha, has urged Nepali nationals residing in Qatar to strictly adhere to security protocols issued by local authorities in light of recent developments in West Asia.

In an advisory, the embassy called on Nepalis to remain vigilant and prioritize personal safety by following all security recommendations and directives from the Government of Qatar. These include staying indoors when necessary, taking precautionary measures, and avoiding rumors or unverified information circulating through unofficial sources.

The embassy also requested community members not to share unverified news, messages, or video clips, and to closely monitor official announcements and emergency alerts. Nepali citizens have been encouraged to maintain regular contact with the embassy for updates and assistance.

According to the mission, it is maintaining continuous communication with the Nepali community through telephone and other channels. Approximately 360,000 Nepali workers are currently living and employed in Qatar.

Regional tensions have escalated after Iran retaliated against a joint military operation carried out by the United States and Israel on Saturday, prompting heightened security awareness across the region.
