Nepali embassies in Gulf countries have urged Nepali workers in West Asia to register their details on a new portal launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure timely assistance amid escalating regional tensions.

The embassies are coordinating efforts to provide necessary support to Nepalis affected by recent unrest following the US-Israel military action on Iran and Iran's subsequent counterattacks. The Nepali Embassy in Riyadh has specifically called on Nepali workers to submit their information through the portal, which will help authorities monitor their safety and respond effectively.

The portal, developed by the Foreign Ministry, collects details of Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and other Gulf countries. Liaison committees of various political parties have also designated contact persons to extend help to those in need.

Official data indicates over 1.7 million Nepali workers are employed in Gulf countries, making them vulnerable to regional instability. In response, the Foreign Ministry has formed a rapid action team to intensify support, including rescue operations if necessary, to safeguard Nepalis in the region.

The government and embassies continue to emphasize safety measures and encourage all Nepali workers in the Gulf to register promptly to receive timely assistance.
