Nepalese business personalities to assemble for Ethical Practices, Two days Summit starts in mid December

Nepalese business personalities are going to assemble for two days summit on ˊThe Nepal Responsible Business Summit- Ethical Practices for Business Successˊ. 200 companies and more organization are gathering on the summit as informed in press meet organized today. Summit is going to be held on 16th and 17th December.
Speakers at the press meet explained that Summit is going to be useful to learn how companies are being responsible to society. Only following the Government Act, regulation doesn’t mean how responsible the company is but what is in their practice, they mentioned.
"Success of business depends on how successful society is and it entirely depends on ethical ground, ˮ said Padma Jyoti, Chairman of National Business initiative.
"We have prepared code of conduct a year before, the summit will be helpful for effective implementation," he added. According to Jyoti, One shouldn’t consider social responsibility only by donating money or equipments but it should be measured how companies made money.
There will be five track or session during summit and each session will be lead by prominent business leader. Prabhakar SJB Rana, Neelama Khetan, Pradeep K. Shrestha, Kush Kumar joshi and Anil Shah are going to lead the track.
The conclusion drawn from the summit will be included in curriculum in management studies. "By including the conclusion of the summit in curriculum, it may lead our man power to become responsible accordingly, stated Prof Binod Krishna Shrestha of the Kathmandu University School Of management.
50 Speakers are going to address the summit. Summit is going to be hosted by four organizations; National Business Initiative, Himalayan Climate Initiative, Kathmandu University and Tribhuvan University. It is supported by the Nepali-German INCLUDE program.
