Nepal Warehousing Company Launches Scientific Silo Storage in Parsa and Sunsari
Nepal Warehousing Company Limited (NWCL) has commenced operations in Parsa and Sunsari districts, providing safe and scientific silo storage solutions for farmers, grain collectors, and food businessmen.
With the harvest season underway, corn farmers from Terai regions are sending their produce to the market, which is being stored in the company's silos for long-term safekeeping.
This enables farmers and traders to fetch the best prices for their agricultural products by selling them at the right time. The company's general manager, Mr. Samir Raj Satyal, highlights the use of fully automated machines to clean and store crops like corn, wheat, and soybeans safely in the silos.
The temperature of the stored grains is scientifically managed using computers, and the company has also arranged for insurance coverage for the stored grains. With 25-30 trucks arriving daily to transport harvested corn and wheat to the market, the company is now operating 24 hours a day to accommodate the increased demand.
