Nepal Warehousing Company Launches High-Capacity Grain Storage Service to Support Nepali Farmers
Nepal Warehousing Company Limited (NWCL) has launched a grain storage service in Parsa, providing safe storage for farmers' produce. The company's storage facilities, also located in Sunsari and Kapilvastu, have a combined capacity of 55,000 metric tons, with the Parsa warehouse being the largest at 25,000 metric tons.
These warehouses store various grains and offer services such as loan facilitation, auction promotion, and agricultural processing using advanced technology. This initiative aims to help farmers avoid selling their produce at low prices due to lack of storage and to reduce post-harvest losses.
The company provides seeds, fertilizers, and equipment to farmers. The storage houses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology from China and Germany for food processing and quality testing. The initiative supports food safety and helps make food production more competitive.
