Nepal Tennis Association to Hold Competitive Trials for Davis Cup 2025 Team Selection

The Nepal Tennis Association is set to conduct a selection tournament starting June 2, 2025, to choose the national team for the Davis Cup 2025 (Group 4), scheduled for July 14 in Malaysia. Four players will be selected: one based on ITF or ATP rankings, one directly chosen as Nepal’s national No. 1-ranked player, and two through competitive trials. If no players have ITF/ATP rankings, three spots will be filled through the trials, including the national No. 1.

The top 8 nationally seeded players will be invited, with the possibility of including others as substitutes. Up to four eligible Nepali players from abroad may apply to participate. The selection matches will be held at the Satdobato Tennis Complex in Lalitpur, starting at 8:00 AM after sign-in. Players with international or national No. 1 rankings must formally apply by May 19, 2025. The association aims to ensure a fair and competitive selection process.
