Under the Nepal–India cooperation program, 10 Ashok Leyland prisoner transport vehicles have been officially handed over to the Government of Nepal. The handover took place at a special event in Birgunj, where IME Motors Deputy General Manager Sushil Subedi formally transferred the vehicles to Indian Consul General Devi Sahai Meena, who then handed them over to Parsa Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal.

The “Partner” model vehicles are designed for security purposes, featuring modern technology, strong build quality, improved suspension, and driver-friendly design. Equipped with advanced camera systems, the vehicles are expected to enhance surveillance and ensure safer and more efficient prisoner transportation.

With this latest addition, a total of 60 Ashok Leyland vehicles have been provided to Nepal under the cooperation program, including earlier deliveries of cargo trucks. IME Motors has been distributing Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles in Nepal since 2016, offering a wide range of reliable trucks, buses, and light commercial vehicles known for durability, comfort, and fuel efficiency.
