Nepal Rastra Bank approves merger/acquisition request of four microfinance companies

Four microfinance companies have received approval from Nepal Rastra Bank for acquisition.

NRB has approved Mahila Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited's request to acquire Jalpa Laghubitta Bittiyta Sanstha Limited. Similarly, NRB has also approved Mahuli Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited's request to acquire Navakiran Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited.

After the acquisition between Mahila Samudayik Laghubitta and Jalpa Laghubitta, the joint transaction will commence in the name of Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta. Their central office will be at Butwal. At the present, Mahila Samudayik Laghubitta operates in Dang and Jalpa Laghubitta operates in Pokhara. These two districts will also be the operations areas after the acquisition.

Similarly, after the acquisition between Mahuli Laghubitta and Navakiran Laghubitta, the joint transaction will commence in the name of Mahuli Laghubitta. At the present, Mahuli Laghubitta operates in Saptari and Navakiran Laghubitta operates in Dhulikhel.
