Nepal Microfinance Bankers Association welcomes Home Ministry’s move to take action against everyone defaming microfinance institutions

Nepal Microfinance Bankers Association has welcomed the decision of the Home Ministry to take action against all those involved in spreading rumours against the microfinance institutions through their protests with vested interests.

The Home Ministry had earlier issued a notice to take action against everyone who is involved in working against the spirit of rural development via microfinance and cooperative institutions. Recently, a number of self-claimed associations and struggle committees have surfaced that are protesting the very existence of these microfinance institutions and have been putting forward all sorts of illegitimate demands, per the media statement.
