Nepal Life Q3 financials: earns Rs 46.62 crore and has massive Rs 59.46 arba in life insurance fund

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has earned net profit of Rs 46.72 crore till the third quarter of FY 2075/76 with growth of 7.21%. The net profit figure is without the profit generated from actuarial valuation of assets and liabilities.

As per the unaudited report for the third quarter published today, the net earnings from premium rose to Rs 15.19 arba till Q3 from Rs 10.69 arba in the corresponding quarter of last FY 2074/75. The company has managed to hike its number of policyholders to 12.39 lakhs from 11.12 lakhs in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company has made a claim payment (net) of Rs 6.56 arba till Q3; same figure stood at Rs 3.70 arba in corresponding quarter.

NLIC has a paid-up capital of Rs 4.39 arba with a reserve of Rs 5.61 arba. Likewise, the company’s life insurance fund has increased to Rs 59.46 arba from Rs 47.68 arba in the corresponding quarter.

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 14.18, net worth per share at Rs 237.56 and qtr end P/E ratio at 77.27 times.

NLIC’s has proposed 25% bonus shares and 23.5% cash dividend for last fiscal year 2074/75 and proposed dividend yet to be adjusted on quarterly report.
