Nepal Life Launches Investment Company to Diversify and Strengthen Capital Growth

Nepal Life Insurance has launched Nepal Life Investment Company Ltd. to enhance the management and diversification of its investment portfolio. The office was officially inaugurated by Govind Lal Sanghai, Chairman of Nepal Life, at Kamalpokhari. With an insurance fund of around Rs 250 billion, Nepal Life established this new company in response to provisions in the Insurance Act encouraging investment in specific and productive sectors like manufacturing.

The newly formed company's authorized capital stands at Rs 5 billion, with a paid-up capital of Rs 1.25 billion. CEO Pravin Raman Parajuli highlighted that the move aims not only at securing returns but also at capital protection, describing the initiative as a structural advancement for Nepal’s insurance sector. Chairman Sanghai emphasized the need to seek alternative investments due to falling savings interest rates. Subhash Thapa has been appointed as the CEO of the investment company.
