Nepal Life Insurance reported fair growth in major profitability indicators in Q2; Net Claim increases by huge margin

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has reported growth in net profit by 22.48% in Q2. The company reported a net profit of Rs. 42.97 crores compared Rs. 35.09 crores of the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The paid-up capital of the company stands at Rs. 7.19 Arba and reserve and reserve and surplus stood at Rs. 1.05 Arba. Its life insurance fund increased by 30.54% to Rs. 1.01 Kharba and contingent fund stood at Rs. 59.89 crores.
The Gross premium increased by 23.70% to Rs. 17.40 Arba whereas the net premium stood at Rs. 17.08 Arba.
The agent commission increased by 19.22% in this quarter. The company's net claim payment increased by 77.00% to Rs 5.56 arba till Q2. The number of policies stood at 1,335,467.
The annualized EPS stood at Rs. 11.94 and net worth per share stood at Rs. 122.95. The company traded at a P/B multiple of 19.81 times.
