Nepal Life Insurance Q1 financials: earns Rs 20.44 crore; life insurance fund stands at massive Rs 72.33 arba; premium rises whereas claim decline

Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has earned net profit of Rs 20.44 crore till the first quarter of FY 2076/77.  In the previous year of the same quarter, the audited financial statement showed a net profit of Rs 20.41 crore.

As per the unaudited report for the first quarter published today, the net earnings from premium rose by 43.91% to Rs 7.81 arba till Q1 from Rs 5.43 arba in the corresponding quarter of last FY 2075/76.

Major Highlights:

net profit figure is without the profit generated from actuarial valuation of assets and liabilities.

The company has made a claim payment (net) of Rs 1.67 arba till Q1 which is a decline of 35.63%; same figure stood at Rs 2.59 arba in corresponding quarter.

NLIC has a paid-up capital of Rs 5.49 arba with a reserve of Rs 2.64 arba. Likewise, the company’s life insurance fund has increased to massive Rs 72.33 arba from Rs 32.88 arba in the corresponding quarter.

Its annualized EPS stands at Rs 14.88, net worth per share at Rs 156.69 and quarter end P/E ratio at 52.16 times.
