Nepal Investors Forum submits a list of suggestions and demands to SEBON

In a meeting between Nepal Investors Forum (NIF) and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), NIF has presented a list of suggestions and demands to SEBON for the efficient development of the Nepali Capital Market. Among the 30 point list, some of the important ones are:
- Since NRB has authorized broker license to banks, NIF urges SEBON to start the process quickly and bring it into effect.
-Free entry and exit provision for the brokers.
-Creating an environment to attract market makers, institutional investors and securities traders.
-Starting the margin lending.
-Starting the auction market to solve the problem of close out.
-Making regulatory provisions to include NRNs in capital market.
-Considering the broker comission.
-Preparing regulatory framework and directives to reduce the settlement time from T+3 days to T+1.
-Not providing approval to IPOs with poor ratings.
-Encouraging investment in debt instruments with adequate policies.
