Nepal Handicraft Traders Association upholds recently released monetary policy 2076-77; calls it a promising statement towards promoting domestic promotion and entrepreneurship development

Nepal Handicraft Traders Association Kathmandu has upheld the monetary policy 2076-77 recently released by Nepal Rastra Bank calling it a foundation step for a sustainable economic growth of the nation.
The association has welcomed the policy to increase domestic production, employment generation and entrepreneurship promotion thereby terming these provisions quite conducive with handicraft business of Nepal.
It has however urged the government to take other necessary steps to promote export based industries like handicraft business through its upcoming policies and actions. It welcomes the decision to allow the banks to expand at their own will at all the local units without NRB’s permission, mandatary provision for banks to provide subsidized loans of upto Rs 15 lakh for agro based business without any service charge and within 10 days of application.
