Nepal gets foreign aid commitment of Rs 55.29bn

KATHMANDU, March 3: The country received foreign aid commitment of Rs 55.29 billion from 10 different bilateral and multilateral donor agencies in the first six months of the current fiscal year.

Of the total amount, Rs 37.46 billion was pledged in the form of grants, while Rs 17.83 billion was pledged in the form of loans, shows the latest statistics of the Ministry of Finance.

This money will be used in different areas ranging from agriculture, local development, education, alternative energy and finance to good governance, physical infrastructure and culture, tourism and civil aviation.
