Nepal Doorsanchar book closure tomorrow; 47% cash dividend proposed

Today is the last day for the investors to get hold of the shares of Nepal Doorsanchar Company, or Nepal Telecom, before its book closure on Thursday.  

Investors buying the shares of the Nepal Doorsanchar Company till Wednesday would be entitled for cash dividend of 47% that the BoD of the company has proposed. The AGM is set to endorse 47% cash dividend to its shareholders from the net profit the company earned in last fiscal year 2070/71.

Nepal Doorsanchar Company Limited posted a net profit of Rs. 6.6 billion in the 2nd quarter of the fiscal year 2071/72. The company’s total earning during this period stood at Rs 19.9 billion, up by 1.5% compared to the Rs 19.6 billion in corresponding period of the last fiscal.

Another main agenda of the meeting is financial highlight of 2070/71 and appointment Chartered Accountant Mr. Narendra Bhattari as an auditor.
