Nepal Champion DL Surf Heads to Silicon Valley for Startup World Cup 2025 Global Finale
Arjun Ghimire, founder of DL Surf, Nepal’s winner of the Startup World Cup 2025, has departed for Silicon Valley, USA, to represent Nepal in the global competition offering a million-dollar (NPR 14.4 crore) prize. Organized in Nepal by Startup Hub Nepal and World Trade Group, the event selects top startups to compete against champions from 100 countries in San Francisco from October 17 to 22.
Startup Hub Nepal President Dr. Shambhu Pokharel bid farewell to Ghimire at Tribhuvan International Airport, highlighting that this marks the fifth Nepali startup to participate in the global finale.

The Startup World Cup, founded by Pegasus Tech Ventures, serves as the world’s largest startup competition, connecting entrepreneurs with investors, advisors, and global networks.
Dr. Pokharel stated that this platform not only boosts Nepal’s startup ecosystem but also inspires entrepreneurs to think globally. Winning the competition could position DL Surf as Nepal’s first potential unicorn startup, with significant opportunities for funding and international exposure.
