Nepal Chamber of Commerce urges government to bring necessary policies to utilize remittance amount in productive sectors and manufacturing-based industries

Nepal Chamber of Commerce has urged the newly appointed Industry and Supplies Minister Mr. Damodar Bhandari to help formulate the necessary regulations to channel the amount sent in as remittance by migrant Nepalese into the productive sectors and manufacturing-based industries.

Officials from the chamber met the minister amid a program and presented the 12-point suggestions for the government to act on, which also include the government’s proactive role in setting up new industries and facilitating for growth of the existing ones, so as to promote more exports and discourage imports, as per the media statement.
